CRAIG'S
JOSEPH TOUR DIARY
9th November 2008
Hi everyone,
Well I have just finished my week in Darlington and I must say
the weeks are really flying in! I have had a nice week in Darlington although
the weather has been horrendous! Winter is truly here now and I shall have to
invest in a big cosy winter jacket! My digs were very nice, I was staying in a
guest house with Dilley, Dean and Emily. The house was HUGE and our hosts Trudy
and Ron were a lovely couple (originally from Scotland) and made us all feel
very welcome. The shows themselves all went well I think and my confidence is
high after a visit from Bill Kenwright in Dartford. He was very complimentary
about my performance as Joseph which I was over the moon about because Bill is
very picky and he has high standards and expectations every time he comes to see
the show. He always gives "notes" to the cast after the show to say things he
likes and didnt like and any changes he wants made. We all take the notes on
board and try to apply them to future shows.
It was Maria's birthday this
week and on Thursday night she had a party and the theme of it was "kids party"
so they had the place done up like the parties we used to go to when we were
young kids, we all had "party bags" and there was jelly (with vodka in it!) and
we played games like pass the parcel, limbo. twister and "pin the head on Craig
Chalmers.....!" It was a fun night and everyone had a laugh.
Jen arrived on
Friday night and we went for a nice lunch to pizza express on Saturday afternoon. The
drive home on Saturday night was truly horrendous with the wind howling and the rain
beating down but Jen took it all in her stride and we made it home to
Birmingham safe and sound. Today Jen's mum and dad are off out so Jen is donning
the apron ! She has informed me that my job is to keep the wine glasses topped
up so I will have to make sure I do as im told!
